Napoleon Dynamite
The Freakin' Sweetest Movie Ever!
I LOVE this movie, but all I ever hear people say is that they hate it with a passion. They say it's extremely boring, doesn't keep their attention and that it has no hilarity factor whatsoever. I just can't believe it! How can you watch Napoleon Dynamite and not laugh so hard that you pee your pants? (My pants stayed dry, I promise!)
Well, I must confess something though. In all fairness, I thought Napoleon Dynamite was pretty lame the first time that I watched it. Someone told me to watch it again and see what I thought about the movie then, but I really didn't want to. After much debate, I gave in and watched it again and I'm so glad that I did! I absolutely loved it and I laughed until I cried.
From Napoleon hunting wolverines, his sweet jump on Pedro's bike, to his mad dance skills in his moon boots, Napoleon Dynamite is definitely worth watching. So, if you haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite or have watched it only once, then I highly recommend that you watch it again. Then watch it a third time and then a fourth time, because I promise that the movie gets more and more hilarious each time that you watch it. I've watched it a dozen times at the very least and it cracks me up a little more each time.
I believe Jon Heder was the perfect person to play the role of Napoleon Dynamite. His listless, melancholy attitude and his hair in a 'fro just made the character even better. What made the movie complete was having Aaron Ruell play his "cage fighter" older brother and Tina Majorino and Efren Ramirez playing the roles of Napoleon's friends, Deb and Pedro. Those four are wonderful together!
It's been 10 years since this sweet movie came out... dang! So, in celebration of Napoleon Dynamite's 10 year anniversary, I recommend that everyone get some tater tots and cheddar nachos and watch this movie at least twice. You'll be so glad you did! Also, be sure to watch after the credits for a little something extra. Oh, and don't forget to vote for Pedro!
